Preschool (4-5 Years)
Preschool is an important part of our school and offers children a supportive environment to learn and develop their Literary, Numeracy and social skills. It also allows children to familiarise themselves in a welcoming space and make new friends. Children who turn 4 years of age by 30th April begin in January while any children who are 4 years of age between May 1st and October 31st are invited to be part of our Mid-year Preschool Program from July to the following June.
The small groups of preschoolers called Koalas, Joeys Kangas and Possums in our newly expanded Early Learning area may access a 15 hours Preschool Program that takes place over a five day fortnight, coinciding with school hours of 8.40am - 3.00pm.
The Reggio Approach allows for students to have a voice in what and how they learn, with the philosophy engaging the mind of young children through providing an attractive, child-focused, creative, appreciative, art focused and welcoming environment. This supports our preschoolers in feeling valued, challenged and supported, providing them with a range of opportunities to explore.
