From the Deputy Principal/APRIM

Feast of St Anthony
Today, our Year 6 students gathered together to celebrate the Feast of St Anthony of Padua with a liturgy in the Church. During this time of prayer we reflected on the life of St Anthony.  Father Allan told us about this man who was God’s messenger of love. Each student received a St Anthony medal and touched the sacred relic of St Anthony.

All classes will also be looking at St Anthony in their RE lessons and reflecting on his charism which inspires us all to Learn, Lead and Love. Anthony is certainly a fitting role model for all our students!

Eastern Star Project

'Every Student Shines'

Did you know that our school, as part of the East Adelaide region, has been lucky enough to receive a grant to participate in an exciting initiative? This grant has enabled us to participate in a collaborative project, called the Eastern Star Project, which will support the implementation of a range of exciting new programs in Numeracy, Literacy and Student Wellbeing. Other schools involved in the Eastern Star Project include St Joseph’s, Tranmere; St Joseph’s Memorial, Norwood; St Joseph’s, Hectorville; and St Francis of Assisi, Newton.

This project will provide a wonderful opportunity for us to work in collaboration with neighbouring schools to offer our students new and exciting initiatives.

Research tells us that if students possess a strong sense of identity and a feeling of belonging, combined with the ability and confidence to develop positive relationships, they are more likely to thrive academically and socially. We are committed to helping your child succeed at school, to feel connected, to feel safe and to flourish in all areas of school life.

Watch this space as we provide information on how the Eastern Star project will benefit you and your child.
