Further to Simon’s report regarding screen time, we are in an ever-changing world and as parents/caregivers we also need to adapt, to understand the influences the digital world has on our children. It isn’t easy, but our job is to protect and guide them through the many challenges that await, enabling them to learn and use the resources available, in a safe and positive way.
It is pleasing to see liturgies return to our school community. Preparations will commence for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, with Communion celebrations to be held in November. Father Allan and Ingrid will be busy preparing our children for these celebrations.
The recent events in America caused universal shock and it has certainly opened our eyes to the inequalities in society. We pray for peace, calm and hope; and that our leaders influence the world we live, so it is a better place for everyone.
The school’s marketing team is in the final stages of preparing a Virtual Tour of our school. This is a great way to highlight our school and provide future families the ability to walk through our classrooms and facilities.
It continues to look promising for a return to school sports and other activities in Term 3. I’m sure the children are keen to participate. I know Michael Musolino is working hard to ensure that we return as soon as practical and when safe to do so.
Enjoy the break with your families, and God Bless.
Thank you
